For nearly 30 years, our family crafted and shared specialty chocolates enjoyed throughout the Middle East and Europe. In 2012, our lives changed forever when our family chocolate factory in Damascus, Syria, was destroyed during the war, forcing us to leave everything behind and begin a new journey as refugees.After three challenging years in Lebanon, our family was welcomed to Canada, where we found hope, opportunity, and a community that believed in us. With the incredible support of the people of Antigonish and Nova Scotia, we rebuilt our dream and founded Peace by Chocolate in 2016.Today, we're proud to continue our family's tradition of exceptional chocolate-making, blending premium ingredients with the rich flavours of our Syrian heritage. The Vintage Patch (TVP) was founded in 2015 as a result of discovering an enormous patch trove and needing a vehicle to sell them. From there TVP went to work, scouring the planet for vintage patches, eventually building an extraordinary collection of patches, vintage lapel pins, vintage stickers and much else. In 2017 we began to sew vintage patches onto garments and in particular brand new hats. Our sewing services are available every time we pop up. TVP wanted to know the origin and age of everything they acquired, but that information was nowhere to be found. It took years of assembling the pieces of this knowledge bank which became the foundation of what they do. This body of knowledge is now resourced by people across the world. Today TVP is the go-to source for legitimate ancient patches, pins and much else. We aren’t just sellers of old stuff, we are dealers of pop culture history, and like a museum in all respects, except everything is for sale.
